Sue Beer is a qualified teacher with an accumulated experience of 12 years in TESOL, Primary, Secondary and FE education, and a further 14 years as the owner and Managing Director of the successful home and school tuition agency, Bristol Tuition Ltd. Her long-term association with Matt Searle led to his employment as PA at Bristol Tuition in 2023, where he headed up Local Authority bookings and Social Media Marketing.
The sudden surge in interest in the use of AI in education, and Matt’s expertise in ICT, led to their joint development of a Pilot Project to enhance the skills of Bristol Tuition’s registered tutors, so they would not risk falling behind in their professional development. It was essential that they should stay ahead of the learning curve.
Our first course, the AI Enabled Educator, was designed to introduce the beginner to respected AI learning platforms and enhance their AI teacher toolkit to keep them ahead of their tutees and in line with the growing expertise of mainstream school teachers. Matt and Sue envisaged parents and school commissioners demanding that home and school tutors should be ethically and responsibly trained in the use of AI; equipped to guide young people in its responsible use, as well as to enable them to progress effectively through their own use of AI as a learning tool.
So, they formed a partnership, Ai Tutor Training Ltd. It is possibly the only online UK AI training provision designed with educators in mind, from Teachers to TAs, as well as Tutors, naturally. The courses are available to all, but at Level 3 and designed with UK qualified teaching professionals in mind. We can offer a rapidly growing catalogue of AI Enabled Educator training courses to Primary and Secondary mainstream teachers, as well as SEN tutors and FE Lecturers. Giving all our educational professionals tuition in trusted time saving methods for planning, delivery and assessment in all areas of pedagogy, adaptable for any subject at any level, for any number of students. All with the current issues around ethics, bias and legal responsibilities firmly at the forefront of every course.
